Found a Diamond in the Desert!!!

We recently had the pleasure of dealing with Blue Diamond Air Solutions when we realized our HVAC air filters were in need of replacement.

From the moment they arrived they were very kind and professional.  They worked quickly to pull the old, dirty filters out, clean the cover, degrease the air intake vent and finally place the new filters.  I was surprised at how instant and noticeable the increased airflow through each vent was.  They also explained the many benefits of keeping a clean filter, including much cleaner air to breathe and reduction in energy costs due to higher efficiency of the increased airflow.  Being the mother of a child with allergies, the cleaner air is a HUGE benefit and a relief to me.  Our son even got a kick out of the installation, saying it looked like we had a ghostbuster in our house!

"Who you gonna call?"

“Who you gonna call?”

They recommend changing the filters quarterly or if there are pets in the home, bi-monthly.  The overall cost for us would only be $30 each time! ($5 per filter and a $20 service fee).  BDAS has been in business for a little over six months but they were very knowledgeable and were able to answer any questions I had for them.  I would highly recommend them to anyone I know. Queen Bee Market Review & Local Vendor Meet and Greet

My mother, Katherine and Aunt Mary pleased with their purchases!
Conference Center of las Vegas

Conference Center of las Vegas

I come from a family who LOVES all things crafts and DIY. Whether it’s homemade soaps, handmade seasonal decor, DIY signs and home decor, we will buy it or make it and maybe even sell it! So when my Mom and Aunt found out that the Queen Bee Market was coming to the Las Vegas Conference Center, I was all sorts of giddy!

                                  IMG_501217264613_10154485767302799_121928182983941720_n

Walking into the Conference Center, we were immediately satisfied by all the eye candy. It was the perfect blend of modern, vintage and glam. Each Queen Bee facilitator was dressed in darling matching T-shirts and were there to greet you with a grab bag filled with handmade products and immaculate treats. And y’all, the booths! This was not your average craft fair where it almost feels like a community yard sale and the tables are covered by stained sheets. No, no. Each booth was its own 5th avenue merchandised storefront-just darling.

Goodie Bags

The coveted Grab Bag. Sadly, we were one woman away from receiving one.- Photo from Queen Bee Market Facebook page

I was shocked to find out how many vendors were there from all over the West part of the states. I met talented women from Arizona, Utah, California and even Colorado and was nothing short of impressed by every single one of their creative and truly beautiful products. I wish I could have bought something from every booth. As much as I would love to talk about every single vendor and their products, this post is all about the amazingly talented Las Vegas local vendors and their stories.

Wanna meet them?

Posh Pilar

IMG_5015Meet Nastasia. Even though I don’t have little babies anymore, I could NOT walk past this booth without “oooing and awe-ing” at all the sweet things. Nastasia makes stylish nursing ponchos and baby accessories. I was desperate to turn back time and use one of these ponchos while nursing and carrying  my boys.  Nastasia and her husband have 3 daughters and are Vegas natives.

Staysi Lee Bridal Boutique

17264296_1341327125924013_1233935571899720049_n This is Staysi Lee. She is everything right about Vegas. Her hair, her style and her beautiful designs all reflect beauty and fun. She designs everything from infinity dresses, retro skirts to girls dresses. I mean, this cactus dress? Are you kidding me? She and her husband have a beautiful 5 year old daughter, Wynter who models most of Staysi’s designs!

Just Charms & Pretty Things

IMG_5017Lacey Cowan’s pretty charms and things have been our favorite at every craft fair we’ve been to in the valley, so far. Her handmade treasures are incredible and there is something for everyone. Lacey is a mother of a strong little girl and is accompanied here by a very helpful husband (which I love to see.)

Whatcha’ Got Cookin’

My Mom and Aunt absolutely LOVE Lisa and Roxanne’s easy to use go-to recipe’s and my family and I love to consume them! These fabulous friends have worked together to create some amazing recipes without any additional preservatives, MSG or stabilizers- they even offer some yummy Gluten free options!

Cultivate Floral+Paper Goods

IMG_5014Sara Lunn is a sweet soul. I spoke with her for about half a minute and knew she was as sweet as southern tea. Her Bouquets were stunning enough for a wedding event yet simple enough for a dining room table. Her paper goods are equally wonderful. You can find her next at West Elm for her Pop-up Shop on April 1st. Sara and her husband have a one year old daughter. Give it up for this talented and ambitious Momma!

November Charm

I loved these matching mommas. Who loves chalk paint? Who loves renovations? Who loves home decor? Well these girls have it all and more! They are “Southern Nevadas plaster paint retailer” and they are PROUD of it. As they should be! Bravo, Ladies!

Amber’s Market features repurposed furniture, home decor, salvaged pieces, accessories, jewelry, clothing, and party supplies. Her shop opens on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The next opening is Thursday, March 16th from 10-5pm. Or you can purchase products online any time at www.ambersumbrella.bigcartel.com

BBFrosch

IMG_5023Kristin from BBFrosch is the reason Queen Bee Market came to Vegas from their prime location in San Diego. We couldn’t be more thankful for that! Kristin is the owner and developer of BBFrosch Chalk Paint Powder. Her painstaking journey through what it took to create an easy to use paint powder is why so many are flocking to her Workshops in 12 states! You can purchase the chalk paint powder as well as other products on the BBFrosch website. You can also attend one of the workshops to learn how to do it yourself!

I cannot wait to see all these vendors again at the next Queen Bee Market event! Will you be there too?

Your welcome, Queen Bee!! Please come back soon!

Lakeshore Isn’t Just For Teachers

2016-11-03_11-45-47_216

logoI had an opportunity to take a tour at the Lakeshore store in Henderson. I absolutely fell in love with the store! They have so many fun products that are educational and resourceful.

2016-11-03_12-51-47_786I think the best thing about the store is the employees: each is as passionate as the next. I was able to browse the store on my own and watch the staff in action. I noticed that some of the customers were frequent shoppers and the employees were able to address them by their first name. My second favorite part of the store was all of the neat stuff on display.  The store has a lot of demos that you can test out. I really love this idea:

2016-11-03_11-45-47_216

I can literally bring my child in and see if an item truly interests him.. I have not met one parent who has bought something for their child and he/she ended up not liking it nearly as much as the parent. That toy eventually ends up sitting on a shelf – I am guilty of this myself! I have a few items on my shelf yet to be played with! So now you can see how important it is for the child to be able to interact with the toys before buying! 2016-11-03_12-34-30_609

There were a couple more things that absolutely impressed me about this store. Lakeshore has been developing their own products since 1988, which is really impressive. Each of their products are developed with quality and safety in mind and nothing less; if it does not meet their requirements, it does not go into production.

Overall I was really impressed with Lakeshore. I wished I had known about this store sooner, it is never too late though and I am glad I found this store. I am extatic that I now have an educational store that I can pick up a thing or few to help with my son’s continuing education. I encourage you to bring your little ones to do crafts, explore the store, sign up for a workshop yourself and even meet the friendly staff. I promise you definitely will not regret it!

Gift Guide and Bucket List of Our Favorite Holiday Things

Tis the season…We put together a list of our favorite places, products and services from stocking stuffers to bucket list events around town. Happy Shopping and Socializing, mamas!

Gifts for your #1 mom (Yes, YOU!)

Vent Salon also has 2 locations also: Downtown Summerlin and Henderson 3 blowouts per month runs about $55/month. Look Style Society has 2 locations in the Valley – Tivoli Village and Town Square. They offer unlimited blowouts for $99/month and unlimited makeup application for $99/month!

For furry babies: Barking Dogs on Blue Diamond has a great selection of treats and toys to reward your pets after you have them groomed or just do the self wash option. I love the friendly, resourceful staff here and the products are top notch.

I have worn the same lipstick for probably the entire time I’ve lived in Las Vegas (since 2003!) It’s called Stay Currant and it’s a Revlon Colorstay lip stain. I know, the drug store under $10 choice for the win! I’ve tried other brands, other shades, but this is my absolute go to – fancy or casual, day or night, summer or winter. I love this deep red and the fact that it lasts all day & even into some mornings – Lol! Just remember to pick up Neutrogena make up remover too (or the Up & Up Target brand works just as well for half the price) or the fancy Bifacil by Lancôme. They all take off lip stains with minimal effort.

Tervis cups are my new jam. They have been around forever, are super sturdy and incredibly stylish. I love drinking just about everything out of them! There is a Tervis store at PH’s Miracle Mile Shops, but they are also available at Macy’s and Bed, Bath & Beyond(home of the never expiring 20% off coupons!). You can rep your favorite sports teams or choose fun festive designs. With an active, bull-in-a-china-shop toddler you need to be ready for the next foul ball or rogue plane. We also have pets so cleaning up broken glass is too much of a risk!

Speaking of drinks… The good folks at Total Wine can help you find great wine and spirits to fit any occasion. They carry much, much more than simply wine! There is beer and cordials and hard alcohol as well as unique accessories and paraphernalia to make any wine connoisseur squeal.

Comfort food from Yardbird Southern is a cozy way to spend time connecting with your honey amidst the craziness of the holidays. When it’s cold out, rich foods are the way to go! We need to get our winter coats on – What else will we have to work off in the New Year?! Mandarin Oriental has a festive high tea as well. Start your new tradition today!

Brunch at Craft Kitchen, tea and multiple menu offerings at Truffles N Bacon, Filipino gastropub from Cutting Board & anything from Served LV and now at Americana… These are a handful of favorites around town for taking friends to share a unique experience that will give them something new to try or just make every day meals feel like a special occasion.

I love Hobby Lobby and Michaels for easy DIY kits from ornaments to toys, but the unique finds will be at Cost Plus World Market! Our elf even shops there!

There are 2 indoor playgrounds that we absolutely love (warning, sock zone!): Rockin Jump the trampoline gym is fantastic for the whole family so definitely head over when you have restless visitors in town. Super clean, open warehouse style, a stunt bag, dodge ball courts, a climbing tower, basketball hoops of varying heights, lockers and great music playing. For kids 10 years and younger, go to Kangamoo. You will not be disappointed! You could literally be there all day, they have a walking track, slides, swings, trampolines, a zip line, miles of crawl space, free massage chairs, free coffee, tea and water, a charging station and plenty of wifi.

Sharing experiences and quality time with loved ones is really what the holidays are all about. There are several notable seasonal events and attractions around town. You can never go wrong with Opportunity Village’s Magical Forest where there are so many local sponsors who are annual contributors. The trees are ever changing and can be a constant inspiration for your own home decorations. New to the Valley is Operation North Pole: an interactive experience with our favorite jolly couple! This includes photo opps, visiting the candy shoppe, the toy workshop, and one on one time with Mr. & Mrs. Claus! Make it a point to visit seasonal exhibits at Bellagio, Venetian and now The Park for festive gatherings and holiday decorations. Ice skating is always a fun family night too at Downtown Summerlin, Cosmopolitan and also The Park now too! There are also several homes decked out in Christmas Lights with synchronized music too! Hypnotist Marc Savard’s home on East Robindale is for sure a local favorite. The schedule for House on Robindale can be found on Facebook. If you want to stay in your car, try the Glittering Lights at the Speedway! They have Groupons and deals for bringing canned goods too.

Great shows to see anytime, but going to shows is more festive during the holidays: Terry Fator at Mirage, Jabbawockeez at MGM, and Absinthe at the theater in front of Ceasar’s (<–Absinthe is NOT for suitable for kids! …or anyone easily offended by vulgar language and suggestive content).

45239_143737908992087_916307_n-2Hi Moms! Are you looking for something to do with your kids 0-5 years old?! Are you looking for helpful resources? I can’t count how many times I did Google searches, Facebook searches and meetup searches. I was always looking for activities or classes to take my son to. Since he’s an only child, I kept hearing my friends and family say, “You should make some mommy friends so your son can interact with other children.”12992072_1149997478366120_1446597005_n-2

When I first moved out here I didn’t need to worry so much about making friends with other moms. I was constantly traveling back and forth to CA to visit my friends and family so my son was okay. He was getting all kinds of human interaction. Or so I thought! After a while, the constant road trips started taking their toll. I was getting burned out driving constantly: Some family members that I visit moved a little farther away so visiting everyone became harder. Plus, I started to miss staying at my own house here in Nevada. Eventually I decided to give Nevada a chance to grow on me. I started to do my research looking for ideal places to take my son.20151013_112524

I found a lot of awesome places to go but they lacked social interaction for my son. I eventually enrolled him in an indoor play area. We were content for a couple of months, but I just didn’t see my son utilizing any of the equipment or lessons they were teaching. He also started to get bored and do his own thing by himself. I thought to myself, “Wow this an expensive hangout.” I also wasn’t making any friends there; All of the mommies there were either nannies or already split off into groups. None of them were inviting new members so I just kept to myself and played with my son. I decided to end my membership and try Rec Center Classes, which was great and they had a variety of classes available, but after a while the mommy and me classes were scarce.  12986587_1149997868366081_1934384035_o-2

Next, I tried to enroll my son in some independent classes and it never worked out: He had major separation anxiety and teachers didn’t want to waste the limited amount of time comforting him. Back to the computer it was and I did more research to find things to do. I am not sure how I stumbled upon Family to Family Connection, but boy was I happy I did. They have an awesome group of ladies working there who are so helpful and understanding. They are very patient with my son and the classession are great.

Please visit their website and check out their monthly calendar. You just may find the perfect for you too!

Truffles N Bacon Cafe : A Culinary Love Story

Welcome to my first sentence ever to post on a blog! I’m just a guest here. I don’t know how guest blogging works really or how many more of these you’ll see from me but I am so appreciative to Las Vegas Moms Blog for having me here. Blogging is fun. wheeeeeee!

TNB foodiesWhen Cee Cee from LVM asked me to come to a private lunch tasting at Truffles N Bacon AND write about it, I almost flipped. I think I actually squeed.  The name Truffles N Bacon, in my mind, evokes images of smoky fat crisped bacon and indulgently pungent truffle oil, right? Nope! I was totally wrong and super okay with it. Think sweet pork and chocolate with a little bit of South Pacific flair. Truffles N Bacon Cafe namesakes are attributed to their award winning bacon jam and their chocolate truffles. The chocolates are pretty self-explanatory: little rolled balls of chocolate covered in things. Simple and delicious. And then their bacon jam, so complex and versatile, they can (and do) put it in nearly everything. In fact, two of the foods that blew me away were dishes that both boasted the jam.

Our hostess, Magnolia, had prepared us a gorgeous French Countryside High Tea experience (sans tea.) Wild flowers floating in tea cups placed on floral chiffon table cloths next to 6 types of finger foods piled on porcelain hors d’oeuvre tiers.  Each tier of food was labeled. The entrees: The Lucia, Kahlua sliders, Mad Bird and Not Yo Mamma Mac. And the dessert:  Cocoa powder dusted chocolate truffles, coconut covered chocolate truffles and balsamic strawberries.

Kahlua Sliders

Kahlua Sliders

As the Instagram pros got up to start their photo shoot, I started swilling down water to keep from sweating and swearing in public: At that moment I hated myself for not ever taking up photography. I also had not eaten all day in anticipation of this tasting and I was starting to imagine fight scenes between lions and hyenas.  After the sandwiches had been staged or “styled” and were taken away to be snapchatted, periscoped, and instagrammed, the writers felt comfortable enough to loiter around the tables and sneak away with plates of food.

I have a confession to make. Even though I tried and enjoyed all of the foods we tasted, there are two I really want to talk about and it’s because they are, in my opinion, extraordinary. While the Mad Bird (the turkey burger with pepper jack cheese, roasted tomatoes, artichokes and sriracha avocado spread on ciabatta) and the Kahlua Sliders (slow roasted pork shoulder with tropical slaw on Hawaiian sweet roll) were lovely and delicious, I am in awe of Not Yo Momma Mac and I am in love with The Lucia.

Not Yo Momma Mac is THE unicorn of macaroni and cheese. It’s the mythical mysterious mac that has eluded me for years. I knew something like it existed but could never find it….until now. This is nothing short of ambrosia.  As if unadulterated mac and cheese wasn’t good enough, TNB had the audacity to put pieces of brisket, kale and their signature bacon jam in theirs and thank the gods they did. I want to dump truck the entire dish in my mouth and drown in it. This is pure creamy, crispy, spicy, smoky, melty, sweetness. I have found the mac and cheese Valhalla. I can die now.

The Lucia

The Lucia

And yet, as magical as the mac and cheese was nothing compares to the Lucia. This is my love letter to a sandwich… I think about you my beautiful grilled cheese, aka my finger food soul mate, EVERY DAY. Cheddar, bacon jam, tomato compote, chipotle ranch spread an on grilled white toast. The smokiness of the tomatoes in a bath of chipotle and the sweetness of the bacon jam is everything I never knew I wanted. That sandwich did something to me.  I find myself humming the Andrea Bocelli tune “Santa Lucia” throughout the day. I often think about making my own grilled cheese but then… it just wouldn’t be the same. My friends say I am changed. I didn’t realize I was empty until I had this sandwich. If it is possible for Tesla, one of the greatest scientists of the 19th century (and possibly ever) to be in love with a pigeon, then I believe it is possible for a 21st century girl, to be in love with a sandwich (especially in the current dating climate).

The bacon jam dishes should be enough of a reason to visit Truffles N Bacon Cafe, but if food isn’t really your thing, they double as an art gallery and offer high tea service too. You just have to call ahead to schedule it. I plan on doing that soon. (I need to visit my boyfriend Lucia, anyway)

Better Breakfast Recap! Our Featured Guests: Umpqua Oats & Coffig

We had a mama meet up in the park this weekend! It was so great to enjoy this gorgeous weather we are having outdoors, with friends, old and new…You know me, all about the food and luckily I surround myself with like-minded moms. We had an opportunity to taste and review COFFIG Fig Coffee and Umpqua Oats for the Better Breakfast Challenge! Thank you, Tryazon!

***LVMB was not paid to promote these products, but we were provided with samples to taste test!***

COFFIG is a coffee beverage made of fig! The second you open the packet, you are embraced by the delicious roasted scents of fig and coffee. I was unaware that coffee could be made from figs! Figs are delicious, perfectly sweet (and actually, growing in my backyard)! I never thought coffee in a fig flavor was even a possibility or even if it was a good idea so when I heard about this creation from Oregon, I was definitely interested in giving it a try. There is no caffeine, but a natural energy boost was promised. The first question all of the moms thought was, is this going to make me spend the day in the bathroom? The quick answer is No! Since it is made from figs, people think they would have digestive benefits and that maybe too much fruit historically is known for helping you move food through your digestive system. It actually tastes great. I personally like stronger tasting coffee (taste, not necessarily something more caffeinated). I had to try a few times to get the right taste for my preference because too little grounds made it more of a tea than a coffee. It tastes great and especially for moms who are nursing or pregnant, it is a perfect decaf option! You have to try it…I personally did not feel much of a rush of energy the way caffeine in coffee affects me, but I also know that I do prefer to limit my caffeine intake since I get migraines. I know, it is like going against the mom-code of the Starbucks IV Drip Club! Ssshhhh…don’t tell on me! This is a great option on the weekends when I don’t need a caffeine boost or in the evenings when coffee sounds good, but staying up all night jittery doesn’t. I had this the next day over ice and it is just as delicious.

vanilla almond, umpqua oats, umpqua oats review, oatmeal

Umpqua Oats are a LOCAL BRAND! Yes, my local Las Vegans, you will not only buy the best tasting breakfast for at home or on the go, but this is actually a healthy meal to start off your day AND you are also SUPPORTING LOCAL – That’s a trifecta, my friends! I first found this yummy breakfast about a year ago while at a drive-thru coffee stand (Moment of silence for the missing Human Bean in the Southwest Valley). It is ready made and all you do is shake up the contents a bit & add hot water. Let it sit for three(3) minutes – et voila! Breakfast in your car…Or breakfast at home for a hungry picky eater all of two years old. There are several flavors available for purchase. We got to try Vanilla Almond (a more traditional oatmeal/granola flavor), Sea Salt Caramel (a dessert breakfast!) and Jackpot – which is probably my favorite of the bunch since it includes fruit and nuts…and because it is called “Jackpot” = So Vegas, So Genius! The kids actually like it too! That day, we had babies between the ages of 3 months and 13 years. Fans all around! OK, we didn’t actually feed oatmeal directly to Nicole’s son, but it is safe and healthy (way to go galactogogue, oatmeal!) for nursing moms too…If this isn’t enough, we contact Umpqua and asked them to be a sponsor – that’s how much we love and adore them! Umpqua is also made in the USA, GMO free, whole rain certified, Kosher certified and no gluten ingredients are used. I know all my foodies with sensitivities can now eat a healthy, delicious meal! ***They contain nuts so, as always, please use with extreme caution when allergy sufferers are present!***

Cheers to a Better Breakfast!

Big THANK YOU to Panera Bread(89148) for helping me take this taste test on the road. The tea set up I bought was also delicious! I appreciate the help out to my car too, Mr. Manager, Lucas!

I have coupons up for grabs and a prize pack of Umpqua Oats for a randomly selected reader/commenter – leave your questions or thoughts below!

What Makes Me Wanna Kiss My Honey :: Review & Giveaway

I love trying a new product and thinking, “This would make a great gift” because it’s just that good! I just had to share: I have the most awesome lip balm ever! It is from Kiss My Honey!!! Who would have thought a local mom in the Valley created this amazing lip saver?! After washing my face and preparing for bed, I brushed my teeth and put on my facial moisturizer, followed by the Kiss My Honey lip balm. I was so excited to try chocolate!?! Can you say, YUM?! I put it on and I was looking for cookies the rest of the night! Ha ha ha..I could not believe I woke up the next morning to find that I could still feel coverage on my lips! I am one happy mama…

I am a big fan of lip stains, but their only drawback is how drying they can be on your lips. This lip balm is so hydrating, is preps your lips perfectly. I can apply it before I put my lip stain on and my lips stay supple without interfering with the staying power of the long-wearing lip color. I was thrilled to find this! I found out Kiss My Honey lip balm were included in swag bags at the Emmy awards! I told you, they are that good!

Kiss My Honey is currently available in 2 flavors: Yummy Chocolate and Cooling Mint. Founder and creator, Kellie Duran was in her first years as a mom when she decided it was time to opt for organic, natural, paraben-free, non-toxic, long-lasting and effective lip protection to combat the harsh elements of desert life. Her son would kiss her and she became concerned about what was going in his mouth. She was not content with what was on the market so she did what other moms dream of doing: She just invented her own! Now she knows exactly what goes into her product and can feel confident sharing Kiss My Honey with your family. Now we can get back to kissing our babies! …and letting them eat our lip products on occasion…My son watches me put on lip balm and wants to put some on himself too. Now, I am not concerned with how much he puts on (to excess sometimes!) because it is safe, all natural, organic and will help keep his precious lips kissable soft!

There are a lot of choices out there, but they were all missing something: one would be healing, but taste terrible. Some would taste yummy, but they just cover your lips rather than actually providing a healing ingredient. Or they are healing and taste great, but wouldn’t last very long. Who wants to reapply constantly?! Not me!

I’m so grateful Kiss My Honey is everything I want in lip care (and nothing I don’t!): Thank you for trying everything under the sun to come up with this great new makeup bag must-have!!!

Kiss My Honey is currently available in a select few locations around town or you can buy yours online. We are also giving away both flavors of to a lucky reader! Comment below to tell us what flavor lip balm you would create! (HINT: It doesn’t have to be the 2 flavors available today!)

Chuck E. Cheese’s New Menu Review & ***GIVEAWAY***

Hey mamas! This past week, the fambam and I got invited to Chuck E. Cheese’s to test out their new menu, which included: new pizzas, appetizers, healthier options and dessert. But of course we went, who doesn’t like playing at Chuck E. Cheese and eating pizza!

Check out their new menu:

New Pizzas:

* Thin & Crispy crust – you can make any pizza in the menu thin & crispy

* Cali Alfredo – newest specialty pizza made with Alfredo sauce, fresh spinach, shredded mozzarella, chicken breast, sliced mushrooms, and sausage

* BBQ chicken pizza- features crispy onions and a new BBQ drizzle

Sandwiches and Wraps:

* Caesar and Club Wraps made with whole wheat tortillas

* Oven Roasted BBQ chicken ciabatta sandwich

Chicken Wings and Breadsticks:

* BBQ and Sweet Chili Boneless and Bone-In chicken wings

* Soft Parmesan Breadsticks

* Buffalo chicken cheesy bread

Dessert:

* Dessert Churros served with salted caramel and white chocolate icing

* Cinnamon Sticks- new and improved stuffed with more cinnamon crunch and topped with white chocolate icing

So my foodie review is an A+ for the new thin and crispy pizza options that they offer for any pizza on the menu, I loved their thin and crispy pizza! I also enjoyed the Chicken Alfredo pizza because all the ingredients were fresh (no canned mushrooms, thank goodness)! The BBQ chicken pizza was quite delicious as well, the crispy onions just give it a wonderful texture and had a delicious BBQ flavor. As for the two new wrap offerings, it was OK because of the overwhelming amount of dressing for my taste, however my father-in-law enjoyed both of them and would order them again. The sweet chili wings reminded me of the Thai chicken wings I make with Mae Ploy sauce, but a little spicier. The kiddos’ favorites were the pizza, BBQ wings, BBQ sandwich, Parmesan breadsticks and the Churros with the salted caramel sauce. Overall, the menu had something for everyone to enjoy.

After eating, we had to get our game on to burn off all the yummy food. It’s imperative for me to hit the arcade basketball, it’s my favorite game of all time (yes, I get competitive) so I couldn’t pass it up! My kiddos love playing all the ticket games and of course, cashing in their tickets.

Here’s a tip: Prior to going to Chuck E. Cheese, download their free game app on Apple Store or Android, so that you can redeem real tickets to use (my 8 year old son managed to get 540 tickets!) FYI: You need to redeem the tickets, which then get emailed to you, and then you need to print it out to bring and give to the ticket attendant (Lol, I didn’t so that’s why I’m forewarning you, but hey, we’ll use it next time). So 4,000 + tickets later we got some nice prizes and it was time to go.

Until next time Chuck E. Cheese’s…We’ll be back!

Contest Alert:

We are giving one lucky winner a Chuck E. Cheese’s Guest pass that gives you 1 large pizza, 4 soft drinks, and 30 game tokens!

Make sure to like Las Vegas Moms Blog on Facebook and comment below with your favorite Chuck E Cheese memories new and old! Contest ends Monday, February 16, 2015 @ 8pm PST. Good luck, mamas!

I would recommend checking out the new menu available in Las Vegas at: www.chuckecheese.com/newmenu

You can also visit and like Chuck E. Cheese’s Facebook page

They’re also on Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest and you can use hashtag #CECLasVegas

****Did you know you don’t have to spend all your tickets in one day, the ticket attendant will print out a new ticket of your remaining tickets, so no need to rush the kiddos to pick out prizes they don’t care for because they think they have to spend all their tickets in one day.
